It's another amazing week, and you know what that means - it's the 28th edition of the weekly prompt to spark your creativity and get those ideas flowing in. Title: Moments That Matter
In life, there will always be moments; at times they might be the ones we don't prepare for, and sometimes these moments are those we are not sure of, but at the end, they turn out to be way more meaningful and beautiful than we expect. And such moments can show up in our academics, relationships, achievements, or anything; they can even be something we never thought would come our way.
These moments are what add up together to remind us that our efforts, even when unnoticed, are not in vain. So, we would like to know about such a moment in your life, might be in school or any experience of yours that you can think back to now and really reflect on.
There was a time in school I was nominated for an award; the problem then was that I was nominated alongside other students that we all know are "efikos"(very intelligent). And to be honest with you, that nomination was enough for me; I didn't expect to win. But on the day the name was called, I happened to be the winner. Everywhere first blur, as in... The whole hall erupted in shouting and applause. Even I was shocked. People I least expected clapped for me and made their way to the podium to congratulate and thank me. My lecturers proudly call me a product of their department, and even my coursemates were proud to do the same. In that moment, I felt seen and valued, and that moment is one that has stayed with me for a very long time..
