Today's anarcho-hero takes the form of Buenaventura Durruti.

Durruti begins his wage slavery in 1910 at the age of 14 in the rail yards of Leon, Spain.

At the age of 21 the gov't overturned a trade deal with the union that he was a member of, so they went on strike. The other local unions joined in and the strike became a general strike. The crapitalusts sent in their guard dogs, three days later 70 were dead, 500 workers injured, and 2000 jailed.

This is where I remind you, dear reader, that the more things change the more they stay the same. You will see this pattern repeated across dozens of real people I will introduce to you. The crapitalusts maintain their power through bombing and terror campaigns, but because their uniforms are spiffy, you play along, perhaps even cheer when 'authority' scores a big kill. Shame on you, and me, for not pitchforking more bastards. The day draws near, imo.

Durutti made his way to paris, and the intellectual stew of exiled anarchists that so often boiled over in those days. He took the political lessons he learned from those forward thinkers back to spain to encourage his fellow workers that a better way forward was possible. His activities in the Asturian mines led to his imprisonment as an undesirable. He escaped. The next 15 years spent working to bring the good news of anarchism to his native land.

He was again forced into exile, but it was all good, he simply joined the struggle to be free in the places that he was.

Upon his return to Spain in 1934, after the fall of the king, he was interviewed by the toronto star.

An excerpt:

After the liberation of Aragon, Durruti was interviewed by Pierre van Passen of the Toronto ‘Star’. “For us,” said Durruti, “it is a matter of crushing fascism once and for all. Yes, and in spite of the government. No government in the world fights fascism to the death.

“When the bourgeoisie see power slipping from its grasp, it has recourse to fascism to maintain itself. The Liberal government of Spain could have rendered the fascist elements powerless long ago. Instead it compromised and dallied. Even now at the moment there are men in this government who want to go easy on the rebels.”

And here Durruti laughed. “You can never tell, you know, the present government might yet need these rebellious forces to crush the workers’ movement....

“We know what we want. To us it means nothing that there is a Soviet Union somewhere in the world, for the sake of whose peace and tranquility the workers of Germany and China were sacrificed to fascist barbarians by Stalin. We want revolution here in Spain, right now, not maybe after the next European war.

“We are giving Hitler and Mussolini far more worry with our revolution than the whole Red Army of Russia. We are setting an example to the German and Italian working class how to deal with fascism.”

But, interjected van Passen, even if you win “You will be sitting on a pile of ruins.” Durruti answered “We have always lived in slums and holes in the wall. We will know how to accommodate ourselves for a while. For, you must not forget, we also know how to build. It is we the workers who built these palaces and cities, here in Spain and in America, and everywhere.

“We, the workers, can build others to take their place, and better ones! We are not in the least afraid of ruins. We are going to inherit the earth, there is not the slightest doubt about that. The bourgeoisie might blast and ruin its own world before it leaves the stage of history. We carry a new world, here, in our hearts. That world is growing this minute”.

As you can see, anarchism has a long, storied history. It didn't start when you saw a circled (A) on your skateboard. It didn't start with the sex pistols.

It had a long history of death and sacrifice for your freedom. Yet, to this day, the majority reject it because, 'freedom is scary'. Smdh.

Are you are tired of paying your masters to bomb children in far away places? Perhaps it is time you pushed back on that. A simple way that anybody can do that is to hoard your coins. The fed buys coins at face value from the mint. A dollar of change in your pocket is a dollar of value out of the banksters' pockets. Stop playing in their shell game that allows them to play in the amusement parks from hell and shop in the human grocery stores.

Take the chapter 9 challenge?

Simply debunk the math.
