Blessings, friends! I hope you're all having an amazing Wednesday. This morning, to start off this new day, I'm going to show you the drawing I made of the R330 RSD19 Vintage microphone card. As you can see, it's a new microphone I'm painting. As the name suggests, it's a classic vintage microphone, so its design reflects that. It has a long, elongated shape with a cylindrical circumference.
As for the colors, it's metallic gray with some very subtle touches of metallic green. I used several Adobe Illustrator functions to recreate those colors. You can tell me later if I succeeded. Okay, now I'm going to show you how I drew it from beginning to end. I started by painting the inner frame of the card with its rectangular shape. That part will contain everything else in the drawing.
Then I drew what would be the microphone handle. It's the longer part. Since it's a vintage microphone, that section is longer than modern microphones. I actually quite like it. After the handle, I drew the top part, the one that would be used to pick up the singer's voice. It's small and flat. I drew both parts like this.
After finishing what would be the main silhouette, all that was left was to add the internal divisions to define which part is which and make it look nicer. That's the final step before painting.
Now, let's get painting. As you can see, I used a range of grays and metallic colors like caramel. I painted highlights on top to make it look more elegant. At the top, where the speaker is, I used a spray effect to create the small dots, which better indicates that this area is for speaking. I'll show you several screenshots of the overall process.
