Somehow I missed getting the badge on January 23rd. I was aware it would be 8 years in January but life hampered paying attention. The day the badge came up, I had just finished getting the seed orders in and had started taking down the Christmas tree.
It was interesting to see 3200 posts in 8 years, which works out to 400/year. Even with all the misses for daily posting, I guess I made enough double posts in a day to make up for them and then some.
I’m not great at commenting, just writing when I have something to say.
It’s a shame that HIVE has dropped so far down but I did not start posting here to make money. It was just a nice perk.
I started on HIVE when a new person on here said she’s made this large amount on one of her posts. I checked it out because at that point FB was blocking people from seeing my daily posts about the farm because I think they thought I should be paying for exposure.
Help writing posts December 2023
I managed to get the first post up and I liked being able to put photos into the posts where I wanted them, unlike FB.
I started writing most of my posts in Word then pasting them into the post template. When @holoz0r created the HIVE Report Card, I discovered I’d not saved all my posts so I went back to the beginning and saved a bunch. But again, life intervened and I never finished the job.
I’ve met a lot of interesting people here, some of whom are long gone. I’d enjoyed reading their posts and often wonder how life has treated them over the years.

I never had any goals for this platform. I just wanted to write about life on the farm each day. And I am grateful to have this space to do that, unencumbered by shoulds and censorship.
It might have been nice if people not on HIVE reading the posts could comment, but if they like something enough they will e-mail me or call. There are a lot of people who read the posts who aren’t on HIVE.
Anyways, I am glad to have this space and am sort of astounded it’s 8 years later….
