This airport parking sounds almost like a tourist trap :) If you don't know any better you can waste a bunch of money. Our rates in our local airport are quite high and parking in the nearby areas is not much better so we usually just use Uber to drive us to the airport and not to worry about parking or having the car broken into:

Those are indeed pricey options and yes it is like a tourist trap and I can guarantee many pay over the top prices as they just do not think there is cheaper options. When i travel for a few weeks at a time I tend to book a shuttle as the Uber is normally too small for the number of suitcases we have and this costs me around $60 each way and is just very convenient which outweigh the extra costs. Even my car finding room for 4 suitcases or possibly 5 is not happening so the cheaper off site parking will not be an option for these trips. The wife shopping always adds an extra suitcase some how.
