I was Here when splinter land got started, It's a hell of a journey. If i remember correctly, the cost to buy starter pack was 10$. I'm I right ?

You are correct, $10 got the purchasers a specific set of cards and a HIVE BlockChain account which at the time weren't easy to come by.
