Embedded Image Now here's a scary thought. After we defeat Aquila and it falls into the golden pool to dissolve, the Black Tide comes and possesses it. Now if Aquila represents Phanes does that mean the Abyss (or the Sea of Quanta rather) will also be possessing Phanes? If that's the case then the Khaenri'ah Chapter isn't meant to deal with the Abyss itself like I had theorized. Instead it'd just deal with the Abyss Order and then the true Abyss would continue biding its time until it became the real endgame of Genshin. In my third Paralogism rewrite I expanded on the idea of Fischl fulfilling her destiny to reconnect the Ley Lines, from Fischl reconnecting the dead Ley Lines of places like Sal Vindagnyr with the surviving Ley Lines of the rest of Teyvat to Fischl reconnecting the girdle of Teyvat's Ley Lines with the Ley Lines of the rest of the planet. Therefore with so much more world left outside of Teyvat to explore, could the original intention of Genshin have also been to one day explore the rest of the planet? In other words just like how Honkai Impact 3rd ended its story with Kiana becoming the Herrscher of Finality but then kept the game going into a Part 2, could the original devs have meant for Genshin to end a Part 1 story with the defeat of Celestia only to then have the Sea of Quanta possess it and kickstart a Part 2 story? Naturally that has me concerned. The story by the end should be this: Embedded Image Humanity should become enlightened thanks to the endeavors of the Traveler and the friends they'd made across the seven nations. However if we get a Part 2 like this then that ending is necessarily undermined. It's like how players were not happy with Honkai's Part 2 as it undermined Kiana's sacrifices throughout Part 1. Unfortunately a Part 2 dealing with the Sea of Quanta is exactly what Honkai gave us so it isn't unprecedented that Genshin might follow suit. The only game so far that won't be doing this is Zenless and that's only because it already is dealing with the Sea of Quanta. It's the worst off universe miHoYo has created so far so it has already been abandoned by the Imaginary Tree and doesn't even have Descenders or a Cocoon protecting it. (that said there's always the possibility that Phaethon improves conditions so much in New Eridu that the Imaginary Tree takes an interest again and therefore "Part 2" for Zenless will be dealing with a Cocoon/Descender) Embedded Image What do you think about this? Does it make sense that Amphoreus might be the pet project of some of Genshin's original dev team and through it they are telling us their intended storyline for the game? Amphoreus is headed back for Star Rail lore so I don't think we'll be getting any more clues about Genshin. It was definitely fun to see where Genshin might have gone by looking at where Amphoreus went but all good things. Now let's take a final review: Humanity is meant to control their own fate in these Hoyoverse universes but they need to do a little soul searching first. There's room for improvement. Inazuma Inazuma's intended story is represented by Kremnos and Nikador. Just like Gnaeus Nikador, Ei was planning to separate herself into pieces in order to preserve her eternity. The human solution to Inazuma was Ayato, a "king" like Mydei who would lead the nation away from isolation, war and eternity. And also give up the royal status. There is also a bad end for Inazuma which is Scara as Mydei. Also "royalty" as he is the son of the ruler, Scara might have defeated Ei after her omnipresence plan and become a puppet king under Snezhnaya. This mirrors accusations against Mydei suggesting he was subservient to Aglaea. Sumeru The setup for the Academia might have gone differently. The sages might have all come from a single Darshan, the traditionalist Rtawahist while there'd be a forward-thinking opposition Darshan the Vahumana. This is because in Amphoreus there are also two opposing schools in the Grove of Epiphany. There would be a faction in Vahumana that goes too far like Anaxa had in the Nousporists. They'd side with the Fatui to revive Deshret. After that it'd be Alhaitham just like Anaxa who'd find a way to resolve the disputes between Rtawahist and Vahumana, becoming the leader of Sumeru under a new system. Fontaine The original dev team had more or less been replaced by this time so only pre-existing information can be linked to them. As such it is likely Furina was meant to be one half of Focalors while Egeria was the other half. Egeria would die and become the Amrita but leave some of herself in the Gnosis which was then separated from Furina to make her a simple human. This relates to Castorice who was revived as a human after she died to elevate Polyxia to Titanhood and this move by Polyxia led to Thanatos barely existing in the current cycle. March 7th, Oronyx and Mem all seem to congregate on the same thing which is that Istaroth and Paimon would have been important figures in the late game of Genshin. Perhaps just like how the Trailblazer currently has the powers of Oronyx and Mem as a companion that they represent the Traveler and so March 7th might represent the Traveler's sibling. Childe and the Tsaritsa were possibly Phainon and Aglaea. Just like their story, Childe would remain loyal to the Tsaritsa all the way to the end while the Tsaritsa was going to die. Pulcinella who might be represented by Caenis would have been responsible. In the aftermath, Childe would have taken over Snezhnaya once the Harbingers and Fatui fell and the dark Khaenri'ahn Chapter started. This is seen by the last section of v3.3's story. Just like Phainon, Childe would not handle this well. To get to Celestia they'll also need a rainbow bridge. In this case that would be a path opened from the heart of Khaenri'ah which might have been located underneath the Chasm. By this time the Traveler would have inspired the allogenes to uplift their respective regions and this improved version of humanity just like the descendents of Seliose earn their chance at salvation. Aquila is defeated but immediately possessed by the Black Tide and now the story is headed back towards connecting Amphoreus to the rest of Star Rail. Could Celestia's fall also lead to possession by the Abyss and then a Part 2 story? Could all Hoyoverse games have been planned for 2 major parts of their stories, first dealing with agents of the Imaginary Tree and then dealing with the Sea of Quanta? In Zenless this would play out in reverse but it's still possible. So what do you guys think? Could this have been the original plan? Are we seeing the true Genshin story through Amphoreus? And if so, which version do you guys prefer?
